For the better part of the last four seasons, Salamanca football has operated with expectations that would have seemed almost unimaginable not long ago. Section championships. State championship appearances. Deep playoff runs. All-State players. Big 30 selections. Now, the Warriors face another test of the program's transformation: replacing another group of proven leaders while continuing to compete at the top of Section VI.

Snapping their two-week skid, the Salamanca football team was able to right the ship with a big 44-12 win over Fredonia. While the Warriors were unable to get on the board in the first quarter, trailing the Hillbillies 6-0 after 12 minutes of game time, the offense was eventually able to find its stride. And once it got going, there was no stopping Salamanca as it spread out its scoring with 16, 15 and 13 points in quarters two, three and four, respectively.
