Alumni: Wass works Team Operations for US National Team

Hundreds of middle and high school athletes have descended on Canton, Ohio this week for USA Football's National Team training camp and Middle School Bowl Games. The Salamanca Football program continues to garner National Team support through the USA programs.

Warrior Pee Wee Head Coach, Jason Wass was recently invited to work for the Team Ops staff making the three and a half hour trip down I-90.

USA Football will host the U.S. National Team High School Training Camp and Middle School Bowl Games annually in Canton, Ohio at Walsh University. This event is part of USA Football’s National Team Program in building the only U.S. National Football Team that competes internationally.

The Middle School Bowl Game Series is where the next generation of rising stars come to play and play hard. Featuring five days of practice and competition, the Middle School Bowl Game Series are the final step for middle school aged athletes within the U.S. National Team.

Hand selected by coaches, the roster is comprised of the best middle school athletes around the country. To be considered, athletes must try out at a Regional, held across the country each spring.

During the week, athletes will practice with top high school and college coaches. The focus is on positional techniques and skill development.
