4th Gridiron Classic raises support for Covid relief
With over 100 golfers attending and dozens of sponsors and donors offering support, the 4th Annual Warriors Gridiron Classic was held on Friday, July 25th, at Cardinal Hills in Randolph.
With so much uncertainty and concern surrounding the recent coronavirus, this year’s tournament was branded as a “Hand Off Program.” The Warriors used funds generated from tournament entry fees as a small business relief initiative, intended to support local commerce facing financial loss. Proceeds were used to purchase gift cards and prizes from local business’ and were provided to the golfers in the form of raffles.
Over $1,000 was delivered back to the community in the form of COVID-19 relief funds and supplementary donations from the tournament allowed the Salamanca Warrior Football staff to raise an additional $1, 500 dedicated to the program. Each golfer was also provided a small gift package, boxed dinner and a Warrior t-shirt for their support.
The Salamanca Warriors would like to recognize and thank all the golfers, sponsors and donors who made the 4th Annual Gridiron Classic such a huge success.
